Situation
One tenant holds several legal entities.
Recommendation
Create each company in the tenant and assign users to the right companies; data is isolated per company.
Why
Users only see data of companies they belong to; another company’s record returns “not found”, not “forbidden”. Creating/deleting companies is a tenant-level action decided by the root company authority. Intercompany transactions use the intercompany feature.
Steps
- The tenant admin creates the companies.
- Assign users to companies (with roles).
- Check users only see their company’s data.
- Turn on intercompany for internal invoices.
Avoid
- Use one company and separate entities by notes.
