Delivering one order in several shipments

Situation
A large Sales Order ships in batches.
Recommendation
Create several Delivery Orders from the same Sales Order; each takes only what remains.
Why
Remaining quantity counts both the counter and live child documents (including drafts), so you never deliver more than ordered. You can invoice each DO.
Steps
- Open the Sales Order.
- Create a Delivery Order for the first batch with its quantity.
- Issue and deliver.
- Repeat for later batches.
- Invoice per DO if wanted.
Avoid
- Create a DO over the remaining quantity.
