Mid-job, a part is missing.
Recommendation
Raise a material requisition from the Field Service Job.
Why
The requisition goes through inventory so stock and cost stay right. If the Service Order already has material lines, issue stock when the Service Order completes; never record consumption twice on the Service Contract.
Steps
- Open the Field Service Job.
- Create a material requisition.
- Inventory issues parts to the van.
- Record consumption on completion.
Avoid
- Take parts without a slip and fix it later.
- Record consumption again on the Service Contract.
