Manufacturing
Use this flow when you make products rather than only trading them. Work orders consume components from Inventory and return finished goods to stock — then Order-to-Cash can ship them.
Apps involved: Manufacturing · Inventory · Quality · Accounting
BOM and release
A bill of materials defines what a finished item needs. Releasing a work order reserves or plans those components.
Issue materials
Goods issue (or backflush) takes components out of the warehouse onto the order.
Produce and receive finished goods
Completion reports output qty. A GRN (or equivalent receipt) puts finished goods into stock at production cost.
Quality in the line
Inspections can block receipt or create NCRs before goods are sellable.
Cross-app hand-offs
| From | To | When |
|---|---|---|
| Work order issue | Inventory + WIP journal | Components consumed |
| Work order complete | FG stock + inventory journal | Output received |
| QC fail | NCR | Gate failed |
