Payroll run refused: unknown formula variable

Situation
The payroll run cannot be created.
Recommendation
Open Payroll Inputs, read the red cell, fix the Salary structure formula or enable the feature that supplies the variable.
Why
A formula referencing a non-existent variable cannot compute; the red cell names the variable.
Steps
- Open Payroll Inputs.
- Read the variable name in the red cell.
- Fix the formula in the Salary structure, or enable the providing feature (e.g. 3P).
- Create the run again.
Avoid
- Delete the variable from the formula without understanding the effect.
