POS to kitchen (beta)
When a sale is completed in the POS app at a shop you have linked to the outlet, F&B creates one kitchen ticket for it automatically.
⚠️
Beta.
When to use
- You sell dishes at the counter or tables in POS and want the kitchen to see them.
- You have several POS shops and only some of them are restaurants.
Before you start
- Permission:
pos:adminto change outlet settings;pos:useto see the resulting tickets. - Toggles: none; the link is a setting on the outlet.
- A POS shop must exist in the POS app.
Link a POS shop to the kitchen
Open outlet settings
Go to F&B → Settings (/fnb/settings).
Select the POS shops
Choose the POS shops whose sales should reach this kitchen and save.
Complete a sale in POS
Complete a sale in one of those shops. The ticket appears on the kitchen display shortly after.
Check the ticket
Open F&B → Kitchen Display (/fnb/kitchen). The ticket carries the POS receipt number and, when the sale has one, the table number.
What happens to the ticket
| Event in POS | Result in the kitchen |
|---|---|
| Sale completed in a linked shop | One ticket is created (pending). |
| Same sale delivered twice | No second ticket. |
| Sale completed in a shop that is not linked | No ticket. |
| Sale voided | The ticket is cancelled if it is still pending or preparing. |
Tips & common mistakes
- Selling in POS but the kitchen stays empty: the shop is probably not selected in outlet settings.
- Retail shops should stay unselected so they do not flood the kitchen.
- If creating a ticket fails, the POS sale is not affected; the error is logged for support.
- The dashboard POS revenue uses the same shop selection (see Dashboard and reports).
