Search

Documents is searchable from several places, all backed by the same underlying index:

• /documents/browse search bar — matches file name, tags, and category, scoped to folders you have access to.
• Global search (the top-bar search available everywhere in XBuddy) — surfaces matching documents alongside other record types, still respecting folder permissions and sensitivity level.
• AI Copilot — ask a natural-language question (“find the signed MSA for Acme Corp”) and the Copilot searches indexed document content, not just filenames, and can quote or summarize what it finds.

All three respect the same access rules: a document you can’t otherwise see never appears in search results or AI answers, regardless of how good the keyword match is.
