Cash flow forecast
The forecast report projects cash ahead and lets you add manual lines and override figures, save snapshots, and see how accurate past forecasts were.
When to use
Use it for weekly or monthly cash planning, and to prepare numbers for the CFO.
Before you start

Workflow
Open the report
Go to Accounting → Reports → Cash flow forecast to see the projection.
Add manual lines
Add expected receipts or payments the system cannot know about, such as a one-off purchase.
Override where needed
Override a calculated line when you have better information, and keep the note explaining why.
Save a snapshot
Save a snapshot so you can compare it with actual results later and review forecast accuracy.
Tips & common mistakes
- Users with only read access can view but not edit the forecast.
- Save snapshots on a regular rhythm so accuracy comparisons are meaningful.
