Recommendation
A workday cell marked Default means no attendance at all in the period — check devices or create an adjustment.
Why
Without attendance the default applies; consider turning on attendance confirmation before payroll.

- Check the attendance device.
- Create a workday adjustment.
- Consider requiring attendance confirmation.
Avoid
- Run payroll while workdays are still Default.
