Signature levels on approval steps
A signature policy sets how an approver must sign when approving a given document type: no signature, hand-drawn, email OTP, biometric, or OTP or biometric.
When to use
Use it for high-risk documents where you need stronger proof that the right person approved.

Tips & common mistakes
- Do not confuse step signatures with the Signatures app, which sends documents to external signers.
- Stronger levels slow approval; reserve them for documents that justify it.
- Tell approvers in advance so they are ready to sign on their device.
