Why
Total allocation cannot exceed the effort plan’s planned hours.
Steps
- Compare total allocation to planned hours.
- Increase planned hours or reduce contingency.
- Or reduce another allocation.
- Allocate again.
Avoid
- Log hours outside allocations to dodge the cap.
