Situation
A sales line is priced below cost.
Recommendation
Configure the below-cost policy: warn (default) or block.
Why
Warn mode flags the line on the form; block mode refuses to save the Quotation, Sales Order or Invoice. The error never reveals the cost figure.
Steps
- The admin picks the policy: warn or block.
- When creating documents, watch for below-cost flags.
- Adjust the price or get a manager decision.
Avoid
- Lower the cost by hand to clear the warning.
