Each work order computes its actual cost, and the dashboard and reports compare plan against actual.

When to use

Use it to review on-time delivery, planned versus actual cost, and planned versus actual minutes.

Permissions: manufacturing:read for the overview (/manufacturing); the reports page (/manufacturing/reports) also requires analytics:manufacturing.

Open Manufacturing for KPIs on open orders and output.

Open Reports for on-time rate, planned versus actual cost, and planned versus actual minutes.

Compare an order’s cost with the work-in-progress and finished-goods entries in Accounting.

Cost = operation minutes times the work center hourly rate, plus consumption times unit price.
Overhead is not allocated, so the cost is a direct cost only.
If the reports page is hidden, you are missing analytics:manufacturing.
