Situation
At period end you need correct workdays before computing pay.
Recommendation
Clear Default workday cells, punches on leave days and OT requests before creating the run; consider requiring attendance confirmation.
Why
A Default workday cell means no attendance at all — running payroll then pays absent staff in full. The company can require attendance confirmation before payroll and block the run while leave is pending.
Steps
- Check devices have sent all punches.
- Fix Default cells with adjustments.
- Resolve punches on leave days.
- Approve pending OT and leave requests.
- Create and compute the payroll run.
Avoid
- Run payroll while workdays are still Default.
