360-degree reviews

Collect several reviews per person per cycle, then finalise one combined result.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.multi_reviewer_360Off/settings/others-configuration—

How it works

Multi-reviewer model for a review: assign reviewers, collect several forms, then finalise one consolidated result.

When ON

Reviewers can be assigned on a review (web and AI assistant). Competency sync from reviews runs at finalisation instead of at submit.

When OFF

Assigning reviewers from the web and via the AI assistant is rejected. Finalising a review that already has several reviewers still works.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Performance → Review cycles / reviews, Performance assistant.

Caveats

Default OFF for existing companies; newly created companies get it ON. The legacy mobile peer-reviewer assignment path does not read this toggle and still assigns when it is off.

360° Feedback

Allow 360-degree feedback requests (peers, direct reports) in review cycles. Off: new 360 feedback requests are rejected.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.review_360_feedbackOff/performance/settings—

How it works

Allows requesting 360° feedback (peers, direct reports) during a review cycle.

When ON

The create 360 feedback request button is shown and works.

When OFF

Creating a 360-type feedback request is rejected; the create button is disabled. Requests already sent can still be answered, summarised and cancelled.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Performance → Feedback.

Caveats

Default OFF for existing companies; newly created companies get it ON. Only the 360 request type is gated — other feedback types do not read this toggle.

Agency labour billing

Record confirmed hours of agency workers and turn them into supplier bills instead of payroll.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.wfm_agency_billingOff/time-tracking/settingsSeasonal & casual workers (people.wfm_employment_types)

How it works

Records confirmed hours of agency-supplied workers and raises a vendor bill instead of putting them through payroll.

Conditions for it to take effect

Requires Seasonal & casual labor.

When ON

Agency timesheets can be listed and created, and a Bill raised from them.

When OFF

Listing, creating and billing are rejected (feature disabled). Cancelling an existing timesheet still works.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Time Tracking → Agency labor, Procurement/Accounting (vendor Bill).

Caveats

Default OFF for every company. Bills already raised are unaffected.

AI review drafts

Let AI prepare a first draft of a review. The reviewer edits and submits it.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.ai_review_draftingOff/settings/others-configuration—

How it works

Lets the Performance assistant draft reviews and synthesise final results from cycle data. Reviewers edit before submitting.

When ON

The assistant’s review-draft and final-synthesis skills run.

When OFF

Those two skills refuse to run.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Performance AI assistant.

Caveats

Default OFF for existing companies; newly created companies get it ON. The web UI does not read this toggle yet, so AI buttons stay visible and fail when it is off.

AI session notes

Coaches can generate an AI session summary and report on request.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.coaching_ai_session_notesOff/coaching/settings—

How it works

Coaches generate AI session summaries and reports.

When ON

The AI summary and session report cards show and can generate.

When OFF

Generating AI summaries/reports is rejected and both cards hidden — including summaries generated earlier.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Coaching → session detail.

Caveats

Default OFF for existing companies; newly created companies get it ON. Existing summaries are not deleted and reappear when turned back on.

Allow clock-in on the web

Off (default): web clock-in/out is rejected; staff use the mobile app or a device. Turn on when staff must clock in from a browser.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.web_attendance_clockOff/time-tracking/settings—

How it works

Allows self-service clock-in/out from the browser (Time Tracking → Attendance banner).

When ON

The check-in banner appears and web punches are accepted.

When OFF

The banner is hidden and web clock-in/out is refused; staff use the mobile app or a device.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Time Tracking → Attendance.

Caveats

Default off. Turning it off while someone is clocked in on the web leaves the day open — they cannot clock out on the web. A session counts as web only when it was opened from the browser without a device id; mobile sessions are recognised by platform, and unclear sessions fall back to the method the client sends. A manager entering their own punch is treated as self-service. Manager entries for others, adjustments, devices and offline mobile sync are not affected.

Allow self-enrollment

Learners can enroll themselves in published courses. Off: only L&D (or enrollment rules) can enroll people.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.lms_self_enrollment_allowedOn/lms/settings—

How it works

Learners enroll themselves in published courses.

When ON

Self-enrollment works (may need approval if Require enrollment approval is on).

When OFF

Self-enrollment is rejected. The training team, enrollment rules, paths, cohorts, IDP, coaching and the AI assistant can still enroll.

Screens, documents and reports affected

LMS → Course catalog.

Caveats

Default ON. The web self-enroll button is not hidden by this toggle — clicking it when off shows an error.

Approving logged overtime creates an overtime request

When a time entry with overtime is approved, a pending overtime request is created (or updated) for HR, linked to that entry. HR still approves it before payroll pays it.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.overtime_request_from_approved_logsOn/time-tracking/settings—

How it works

When a project time log with overtime hours is approved (on the approval page, in bulk, or through a workflow), a pending overtime request (source: task log) is created or updated for HR, linked to that log.

When ON

HR sees the request in the overtime list and must approve it before payroll pays it.

When OFF

Approving a log no longer creates requests or raises their minutes; a request already linked to a log is still lowered or retired when that log’s OT drops to 0 or the log is rejected.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Time Tracking → Approve, Projects time logs, HR overtime list.

Caveats

Default on for every tenant. Service Management timesheets with overtime also create requests through this switch when bridged to Projects; rejecting such a timesheet removes the bridged log and lowers its request (refused if that OT was already paid). Field Service writes OT through its own path.

Attendance day review

Days with punches must be approved by a manager before payroll. Adds the “Day review” tab, the punch timeline with source selection, and the payroll gate “attendance days not reviewed”. Off: days are derived automatically and never wait for approval.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.attendance_review_requiredOff/time-tracking/settings—

How it works

Each attendance day (built from punches) gets a review status. A manager reviews days in Time Tracking → Approve → Day review: picks the punch source, approves or reopens the day.

When ON

The Day review tab and the punch timeline appear (web and the manager mobile app). Payroll counts only approved or locked days. A late punch on an already-approved day sends it back to “needs review” and notifies the manager. The payroll gate “attendance days not reviewed” reports open days and blocks run creation when “Block run on unapproved inputs” is on.

When OFF

Days are derived automatically and payroll counts every day regardless of review status. The review screens show a “feature off” panel and review/reopen calls are refused.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Time Tracking → Approve (Day review), attendance day detail, manager mobile app → Attendance review, payroll readiness and run creation.

Caveats

Default off for every tenant. Turning it off leaves open days as they are and payroll starts counting them; an approved day can then no longer be reopened by hand. Days can still be marked “needs review” while off (only the manager notification is suppressed). Parent of “Day review finalizes overtime” and “Reconcile with Tasks daily log”.

Auto no-show

Every 15 minutes, a planned or confirmed shift whose start time plus the grace period has passed with no check-in is marked absent and the line manager is notified. Locked weeks and payroll-locked periods are skipped.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.wfm_auto_no_showOff/time-tracking/settings—

How it works

Every 15 minutes, planned/confirmed shifts past start time plus the grace period with no check-in are marked absent, and the direct manager is notified. Locked weeks and locked payroll periods are skipped.

When ON

A scheduled job marks no-shows per company. If the employee checks in late afterwards, the absent mark is removed automatically.

When OFF

No shift is marked absent automatically.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Time Tracking → roster, manager notifications, manager mobile.

Caveats

Default OFF for every company. Turning it off does not clear absences already marked. The grace period is set in No-show grace.

Auto-issue certificate on completion

Automatically issue a certificate when a learner completes a course.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.lms_auto_issue_certificateOn/lms/settings—

How it works

Issues a certificate automatically when a learner completes a course or learning path.

When ON

Completing a course/path creates a certificate.

When OFF

No certificate is created on completion. Users who manage enrollments issue one by hand with the Issue certificate button on a completed enrollment.

Screens, documents and reports affected

LMS → Certificates, learner profile.

Caveats

Default ON. Manual issue follows the same rule (no duplicate while a valid certificate exists for that enrollment) and also works when the toggle is on. Certificates already issued are kept.

Block payroll run on unreviewed inputs

Refuse to create a real payroll run while an enforced input gate is unsatisfied. Payroll or HR approvers can override with an explicit acknowledgement.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.payroll_block_run_on_unapproved_inputsOn/payroll/settings—

How it works

Master switch for payroll input gates. When creating a real run, every blocker gate whose own switch is on is evaluated: payroll adjustments, KPI closure, attendance days not reviewed, pending salary changes, missing attendance, pending leave.

When ON

A failing enforced gate refuses run creation (PAYROLL_INPUTS_UNAPPROVED). Payroll or HR approvers (payroll:approve, hr:approve, payroll:admin) can override with an explicit acknowledgement, recorded in the run note.

When OFF

Gates only show as warnings in the readiness panel; runs are created anyway.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Payroll → Runs, Simulation (never blocked), readiness panel, the payroll agent (cannot override).

Caveats

Default on for every tenant (migration 1809 turned saved “off” values on). If the switch cannot be read it is treated as on. Each gate also needs its own switch; other gates (pending OT, commissions…) never block.

Block payroll run without an approved completion evaluation

ON (default): an employee whose formula uses completion_pct must have an APPROVED evaluation for the period or the run is refused. OFF: the run proceeds with the configured default completion (payroll_config.completion_default_pct, default 100%), traced as a fallback and listed as a readiness warning.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.completion_eval_block_runOn/payroll/settings—

How it works

Requires employees whose formula uses completion_pct to have an APPROVED completion evaluation for the period before payroll runs.

When ON

A missing approved evaluation is a payroll blocker for that employee.

When OFF

Payroll runs with the default completion level from payroll settings (completion_default_pct, default 100) for anyone without an approved evaluation.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Payroll → run, input matrix.

Caveats

Default ON. Only effective when the evaluation mode is not Off. When off, people without an approved evaluation get the default — the KPI suggestion is not used.

Block payroll while leave is pending

Refuse to create a payroll run while leave in the period is still pending. Works only with “Block run on unapproved inputs”; an approver can override.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.payroll_block_run_on_pending_leaveOff/payroll/settingsBlock payroll run on unreviewed inputs (people.payroll_block_run_on_unapproved_inputs)

How it works

Adds the “leave pending” gate: counts leave requests still pending that overlap the payroll period (drafts are not counted).

Conditions for it to take effect

“Block payroll run on unreviewed inputs” must be on.

When ON

With the master switch on, run creation is refused while such requests exist; the gate links to the filtered leave list. An approver can override.

When OFF

The gate is shown as a warning only.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Payroll readiness, run creation, HR → Leave.

Caveats

Default off.

Budget check when approving payroll

Requires Budget control ON. Warn: approval shows the budget impact and proceeds. Block: approval is refused when a payroll expense line exceeds its available budget.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.payroll_budget_gatewarn/payroll/settingsBudget Control (finance.budget_control)

How it works

When a payroll run is approved, its salary expense, employer insurance and union fee lines are checked against budget (by account, cost center and project, for that month).

Conditions for it to take effect

Budget control (finance) must be on; otherwise no check runs.

When ON

Warn (default): the run page shows budget impact and approval proceeds. Block: approval is refused when a line exceeds its available budget.

When OFF

Off: no budget check.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Payroll run detail (budget impact), run approval.

Caveats

If the check itself fails, approval proceeds. When approval through a workflow is refused by the budget, the run stays in processing, the failure is recorded on the run and the submitter and approver are notified.

Calendar sync

Dated sessions get a calendar event for coach and coachee, updated when the session changes.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.coaching_calendar_syncOn/coaching/settings—

How it works

Dated sessions create a calendar event for coach and coachee, updated when the session changes and removed when it is cancelled.

When ON

Session create/update/cancel syncs to Calendar.

When OFF

No new events; existing events are no longer updated or removed.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Coaching → sessions, Calendar.

Caveats

Default ON. Rescheduling a session while off leaves the old calendar event at the wrong time.

Calibration Session Required

Merit pay proposals for a cycle can only be generated after calibration is marked complete for that cycle. Applies only when merit pay is linked to reviews.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.calibration_session_requiredOff/performance/settings—

How it works

Requires the cycle to be marked Calibration complete before merit pay proposals can be generated for it.

When ON

Generating merit proposals is rejected until the cycle is marked calibration-complete.

When OFF

No calibration check.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Performance → Review cycles → Merit pay.

Caveats

Default OFF for every company. Only effective when Link merit pay to review results is on. Submitting reviews and closing the cycle are not blocked. The merit pay page does not warn about this condition in advance — users see it only when they click Generate.

Clocked OT rounding (minutes)

Overtime after shift end is rounded DOWN to this unit (e.g. 15 → 2h50 becomes 2h45). 0 = no rounding.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.attendance_ot_rounding_minutes15/time-tracking/settings—

How it works

OT measured from punches after shift end is rounded DOWN to this unit. 0 = no rounding; empty = 15 (the default).

When ON

Shapes the clocked OT shown on the day, the reconcile comparison and the default OT proposed when approving a day.

When OFF

Not a switch: set 0 to stop rounding.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Attendance day detail, Day review, daily log reconcile.

Caveats

Applies whether or not day review finalizes overtime. OT requests are not rounded. Approved or locked days keep the value stored when they were computed.

Example

Unit 15: 2h50 clocked OT ⇒ 2h45.

Close development goals automatically

Mark a development goal done when its linked training is completed.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.idp_auto_close_goalsOff/settings/others-configuration—

How it works

Closes IDP goals automatically once the target competency is reached — via LMS course completion, coaching completion, review finalisation, verified external training, or at IDP approval if already met.

When ON

IDP goals whose competency target is met are closed automatically.

When OFF

Goals stay open until closed by hand.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Performance → IDP.

Caveats

Default OFF for existing companies; newly created companies get it ON. Turning it off does not reopen goals already closed.

Coachee private notes

Coachees can keep private notes on their sessions that only they see.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.coaching_allow_coachee_private_notesOn/coaching/settings—

How it works

Coachees keep private notes on their own sessions, visible only to them.

When ON

The private notes box shows on the coachee portal; read/write work.

When OFF

Reading/writing private notes is rejected and the box hidden.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Coachee portal → session detail.

Caveats

Default ON. Notes already written are kept and reappear when turned back on.

Coachee self-scheduling

Coachees can book sessions of their own engagements from the coachee portal.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.coaching_coachee_self_scheduleOff/coaching/settings—

How it works

Coachees book sessions for their own program from the coachee portal.

When ON

The booking control shows on the coachee portal.

When OFF

Self-booking is rejected and the control hidden. Coaches can still create sessions.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Coachee portal → Sessions.

Caveats

Default OFF for existing companies; newly created companies get it ON.

Coaching score scale

The scale used to record coaching assessment results.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.coaching_score_scalepercent_0_100/settings/others-configuration—

How it works

Tells the system which scale engagement intake/outcome scores use, for mapping to competency levels.

When ON

Percent 0–100 or Level 1–5.

When OFF

No effect while Write coaching results to competency framework is off.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Coaching → competency write-back.

Caveats

Default Percent 0–100. Changing the scale does not convert scores already entered.

Compensatory time off

Approvers can convert approved overtime into compensatory time off instead of pay. Each conversion becomes a lot that expires; employees request it with the Compensatory leave type. Converted overtime is not paid in payroll.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.compensatory_time_offOff/time-tracking/settings—

How it works

An overtime approver can choose “time off” instead of pay. Each conversion creates a compensatory lot (days, with an expiry date) that the employee spends with the Compensatory leave type.

When ON

The Pay / Time off choice appears in the overtime drawer. Converted OT is excluded from payroll. Day review can also convert OT of an extra workday marked as compensated by time off.

When OFF

Choosing time off is refused (feature disabled). A pending request saved as time off is approved as pay, with a trace on the decision. Day review of an extra workday compensated by time off pays it and returns a warning.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Overtime approval drawer, self-service leave page (compensatory balance card), leave type policy, payroll OT.

Caveats

Default off. Existing lots are kept: employees can still take Compensatory leave from them and the expiry job keeps running, but HR can no longer grant lots by hand. The mobile apps only approve OT as pay.

Compensatory time off expiry (days)

Days after the overtime date until a compensatory lot expires. Employees are notified 7 days before expiry. Empty or 0 = 90 days.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.toil_expiry_days90/time-tracking/settingsCompensatory time off (people.compensatory_time_off)

How it works

Days from the OT work date (not the approval date) until a compensatory lot granted from OT expires. Empty, 0 or invalid = 90 days.

Conditions for it to take effect

Compensatory time off must be on (lots are only granted from OT then).

When ON

Applied when a lot is granted. A daily job expires lots and notifies employees 7 days before (fixed).

When OFF

Not a switch.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Compensatory lots, expiry notifications.

Caveats

Changing it only affects lots granted afterwards. Lots granted by hand use the expiry date entered by HR.

Example

90 days, OT on 1 March ⇒ lot expires 30 May; warning around 23 May.

Competency-based Coaching Suggestions

IDP plans get suggested coaching programs that match goal competencies and level gates

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.idp_coaching_suggestionsOff/performance/settings—

How it works

IDP receives coaching program suggestions matching the goal’s competency and level.

When ON

The IDP suggestion step adds matching coaching programs.

When OFF

No coaching suggestions.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Performance → IDP, Coaching.

Caveats

Default OFF for existing companies; newly created companies get it ON.

Competency-based LMS Suggestions

IDP course suggestions come from LMS courses tagged with the goal’s competency (replaces keyword matching)

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.idp_lms_suggestionsOff/performance/settings—

How it works

IDP course suggestions come from LMS courses tagged with the goal’s competency.

When ON

Suggestions are based on competencies linked to LMS courses.

When OFF

Suggestions fall back to text matching against the training course catalog for narrative goals.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Performance → IDP (development suggestions).

Caveats

Default OFF for existing companies; newly created companies get it ON.

Completion evaluation mode

Off: the completion_pct / completion_coefficient formula variables and the Completion evaluation page are hidden; a formula that still references them blocks the run. Manual: the evaluator enters a percentage or picks a grade, no KPI prefill. KPI: the value is prefilled from KPI achievement (or a performance review) and finalized by the evaluator.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.completion_evaluation_modeoff/payroll/settings—

How it works

Chooses how the work completion level (completion_pct) used in payroll formulas is obtained: Off, Manual or KPI.

When ON

Manual: the evaluator enters a % or picks a grade; payroll takes the approved evaluation. KPI: a value is suggested from the source chosen in Completion prefill source; an approved evaluation overrides the suggestion.

When OFF

Off: the completion_pct/completion_coefficient variables do not exist, the Completion evaluation page and menu item are hidden, evaluation actions are rejected; formulas still referencing the variables block payroll.

Screens, documents and reports affected

HR → Completion evaluation, Payroll (formulas, input matrix, run blockers), Payroll settings (completion grades).

Caveats

Default Off. Switching back to Off deletes no evaluations; later payroll runs can no longer read the completion level.

Completion prefill source

KPI mode only: what the suggested completion value is derived from before the evaluator finalizes it.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.completion_prefill_sourcekpi/payroll/settings—

How it works

KPI mode only: chooses where the suggested value comes from before the evaluator confirms.

When ON

KPI: the period’s KPI/BSC score. Performance review: the review’s 1–5 overall rating mapped linearly to %.

When OFF

No effect when the mode is not KPI.

Screens, documents and reports affected

HR → Completion evaluation, Payroll.

Caveats

Default KPI. An evaluation method stamped on the individual employee/evaluation wins over this company setting.

Count external development

Include training completed outside the system in development plans.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.external_dev_completionsOff/settings/others-configuration—

How it works

Records courses/certifications completed outside the system: the employee declares and submits, an authorised person verifies or rejects; verified records count toward competencies and IDP.

When ON

External completion records can be created, submitted, verified and rejected.

When OFF

Create, submit, verify and reject are rejected (feature disabled). The existing list stays readable.

Screens, documents and reports affected

HR → Skills matrix (external training), IDP.

Caveats

Default OFF for existing companies; newly created companies get it ON.

Crews & rotation patterns

Group employees into crews and generate rosters from rotation patterns (e.g. 4-on/2-off, 3-shift rotation).

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.wfm_shift_patternsOff/time-tracking/settings—

How it works

Groups employees into crews and generates rosters in bulk from rotation patterns (e.g. 4 on/2 off, 3-shift rotation).

When ON

Rotation patterns and crews can be created/edited, crew members assigned, and Generate roster run for a date range.

When OFF

Viewing, creating and editing patterns, crews, crew members and Generate roster are rejected (feature disabled). Assigning individual shifts still works.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Time Tracking → Crews & patterns, Generate roster. Prerequisite of Demand & coverage.

Caveats

Default OFF for every company. Shifts already generated stay on the roster. Turn off Demand & coverage first.

Day review finalizes overtime

Approving a day writes ONE approved overtime record (source: attendance review) for the approved OT minutes and supersedes pending same-day OT requests. Already-approved requests are kept; the bridge only carries the remainder. Off: OT is paid only from OT requests.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.attendance_review_finalizes_overtimeOff/time-tracking/settingsAttendance day review (people.attendance_review_required)

How it works

When a manager approves a day, the approved OT minutes minus OT already approved for that day are written as ONE approved overtime record (source: attendance review). Payroll pays OT only from overtime records.

Conditions for it to take effect

Attendance day review must be on (checked at runtime).

When ON

Approving a day creates or updates that record; 0 remaining minutes deletes it. Pending OT requests for the same day become “superseded”. A day whose bridged record was already charged internally cannot be re-reviewed. On an extra workday paid in time off (and with Compensatory time off on), the record becomes time off instead of pay.

When OFF

The day still stores its approved OT minutes, but nothing reaches payroll: OT is paid only from OT requests.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Day review, overtime records list, payroll OT amounts, compensatory time off lots.

Caveats

Default off. A day already bridged keeps its record in sync on re-review even after the switch is turned off. Approving an OT request for a day that already has an approved bridged record is refused — reopen and re-review the day instead.

Example

Day approved with 120 min OT, a 60-min request already approved ⇒ one record of 60 min; a pending 90-min request that day is superseded.

Demand & coverage

Enter required headcount per site, department, date and shift; show coverage gaps on the roster.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.wfm_demand_coverageOff/time-tracking/settingsCrews & rotation patterns (people.wfm_shift_patterns)

How it works

Records required headcount per site, department, day and shift (manually, from labor standards, occupancy, work orders or POS sales) and compares it with the roster to show gaps.

Conditions for it to take effect

Requires Crews & rotation patterns.

When ON

Demand, labor standards and occupancy can be entered; demand generated from work orders/occupancy/POS; coverage shown on the roster and in reports.

When OFF

All demand, labor standard, occupancy and coverage actions are rejected (feature disabled); the WFM report drops the coverage section.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Time Tracking → roster (coverage), Staffing demand, WFM reports.

Caveats

Default OFF for every company. Entered demand is kept and reappears when turned back on.

Derived Succession Readiness

Successor readiness score is computed from weighted skill-gap coverage instead of manual entry

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.succession_derived_readinessOff/performance/settings—

How it works

A successor’s readiness score is computed from weighted competency-gap coverage instead of entered by hand.

When ON

The score is recalculated when a succession candidate is viewed, created or edited, and when that person’s competency level rises.

When OFF

Readiness is entered manually.

Screens, documents and reports affected

HR → Succession, Skills matrix.

Caveats

Default OFF for existing companies; newly created companies get it ON. Turning it off keeps the last computed score.

Document attachments

Attach documents to programs, engagements and sessions.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.coaching_document_attachmentsOn/coaching/settings—

How it works

Attaches documents to programs, program templates, engagements and sessions.

When ON

The documents panel shows; attach/remove work.

When OFF

Attach/remove are rejected and the documents panel hidden.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Coaching → programs, templates, engagements, sessions.

Caveats

Default ON. Attached files are not deleted and reappear when turned back on.

Enforce Labour Code contract rules

Block employment contracts that break the Labour Code 2019: fixed term of 36 months or more, a third fixed-term contract in a row, probation over the legal limit or below 85% pay. Annexes that change the term are always refused.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.vn_labor_contract_rulesOn/hr/settings—

How it works

Checks Labour Code 2019 rules when an employment contract draft is created, edited, renewed or confirmed as signed, and on each row of contract CSV import. Only the first violation is reported (import lists them per row).

When ON

Refused: end before start, overlap with an effective contract, a second probation for the same job, probation over the legal limit (180/60/30 days or 6 working days by job level) or below 85% pay, fixed term of 36 months or more, a third fixed-term contract without an exemption basis, an exemption without a note.

When OFF

Drafts and renewals are saved without these checks.

Screens, documents and reports affected

HR → Employee → Contracts (new, edit, renew).

Caveats

Default on. Annexes that change the term are always refused, regardless of this switch. Probation is also refused on a labour contract shorter than 1 month (Art. 24.3). Import has no exemption fields, so three fixed-term contracts in a row are rejected while on; rows of the same employee are skipped together. Contracts signed through the Signatures app are not re-checked.

Enforce sequential learning paths

In a learning path marked sequential, learners must complete each earlier required course before progressing.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.lms_sequential_path_enforcementOff/lms/settings—

How it works

In paths marked sequential, learners must complete each earlier required course before progressing.

When ON

Marking a lesson complete in a later course is rejected while an earlier required course is unfinished.

When OFF

Courses can be taken in any order.

Screens, documents and reports affected

LMS → lesson progress, Learning paths.

Caveats

Default OFF for every company. Blocks lesson completion only, not enrollment. Turning it on immediately blocks learners mid-path. The web does not hide buttons by this toggle — learners see an error on click.

External coaching

Allow engagements with an external CRM contact as coachee, and onboarding external coaches.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.coaching_external_enabledOff/coaching/settings—

How it works

Allows engagements whose coachee is an external CRM contact, and adding external coaches.

When ON

Engagements with external coachees and external coaches can be created/edited; the external section shows on the coaches page.

When OFF

Those actions are rejected and the external section hidden.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Coaching → Engagements, Coaches.

Caveats

Default OFF for existing companies; newly created companies get it ON. Existing external engagements are kept.

Hide previous scores from reviewers

Reviewers do not see earlier cycles, so past ratings do not anchor the new one.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.blind_review_modeOff/settings/others-configuration—

How it works

When ON

Reviewee context omits prior-cycle history.

When OFF

Screens, documents and reports affected

Performance → review scoring screen (reviewee context).

Caveats

Merit pay proposals for a cycle can only be generated when every employee with a submitted review has a development plan (IDP) for that cycle. Applies only when merit pay is linked to reviews.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.idp_required_after_reviewOff/performance/settings—

How it works

Requires every employee who submitted a review in the cycle to have a development plan (IDP) for that cycle before merit pay proposals are generated.

When ON

Generating merit proposals is rejected while any reviewee lacks an IDP for the cycle.

When OFF

No IDP check.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Performance → Review cycles → Merit pay, IDP.

Caveats

Default OFF for every company. Only effective when Link merit pay to review results is on. Review submission is not blocked; the merit pay page does not warn about this condition in advance.

Knowledge base resources

Link Knowledge Base articles to programs and engagements as resources.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.coaching_kb_resourcesOff/coaching/settings—

How it works

Links knowledge base articles to programs and engagements as resources.

When ON

The KB resources panel shows; link/unlink work.

When OFF

Actions are rejected and the panel hidden.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Coaching → programs, engagements; Knowledge Base.

Caveats

Default OFF for existing companies; newly created companies get it ON.

Labour pool & call-in

Keep a pool of casual / former workers with skills and availability, call them in for peak demand, and rehire quickly.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.wfm_labor_poolOff/time-tracking/settingsSeasonal & casual workers (people.wfm_employment_types)

How it works

Keeps a list of casual workers and former employees with skills and availability to call on at peak times.

Conditions for it to take effect

Requires Seasonal & casual labor.

When ON

Pool members can be listed, added, edited and called in to a shift. Calling in an EMPLOYEE assigns them directly; calling in a non-employee posts an open shift — that case also needs Open shifts (and therefore Roster publishing).

When OFF

Listing, adding, editing pool members and call-ins are rejected (feature disabled).

Screens, documents and reports affected

Time Tracking → Labor pool.

Caveats

Default OFF for every company. Call-in still checks leave, locked time periods, locked weeks and labor rules.

Labour rules

Check minimum rest between shifts, daily/weekly hour caps, overtime ceilings and required skills when assigning shifts.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.wfm_labor_rulesOff/time-tracking/settings—

How it works

Checks labor rules whenever someone is put on a shift: minimum rest between shifts, daily/weekly hour caps, overtime cap, required skills. Rules in block mode reject; rules in warn mode only warn.

When ON

Assigning, copying a week, generating rosters, approving swaps, claiming open shifts and call-ins all run the rule check.

When OFF

No rule check when rostering. The rule settings screen still opens if Attendance labor limits is on.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Time Tracking → roster, Labor rule settings, shift swap, open shifts.

Caveats

Default OFF for every company. Shifts assigned before turning it on are not re-checked. For swap approval, open-shift claims and call-ins, warn-mode rules currently show no warning to the user (only block mode has an effect).

Allow generating merit pay (salary increase) proposals from the ratings of a completed review cycle. Off: merit pay generation is blocked.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.merit_pay_linked_to_reviewOff/performance/settings—

How it works

Allows generating merit pay proposals from a completed review cycle using merit bands.

When ON

The Generate proposals button on the cycle’s merit pay page works; Calibration required and IDP required apply too if on.

When OFF

Generating is rejected and the button disabled. Existing proposals and merit bands remain viewable.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Performance → Review cycles → Merit pay.

Caveats

Default OFF for existing companies; newly created companies get it ON. Proposals already generated are kept.

LMS integration

Link LMS courses to programs, auto-enroll coachees in required courses and take intake/outcome scores from linked assessments.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.coaching_lms_integrationOff/coaching/settings—

How it works

Links LMS courses to programs, auto-enrolls coachees in required courses when an engagement is created, and pulls intake/outcome scores from linked tests.

When ON

Courses can be linked/unlinked; new engagements auto-enroll required courses; LMS test scores flow back to the engagement.

When OFF

Linking is rejected and the course panel hidden; new engagements do not auto-enroll; LMS scores do not flow back.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Coaching → programs, engagements; LMS.

Caveats

Default OFF for existing companies; newly created companies get it ON. Auto-enrollment follows LMS Require enrollment approval.

Lock time periods for payroll

Allows locking/closing monthly time periods and makes payroll run only on a locked month. A locked period always blocks time writes, even with this toggle off.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.lock_time_period_for_payrollOff/settings/others-configuration—

How it works

Locks (or closes) a monthly time period so that month’s hours, shifts and overtime cannot change after payroll has read them. With the toggle on, locks can be set and payroll runs only for a locked month.

When ON

Periods can be locked/closed. Running payroll for an unlocked month is blocked. Creating, editing or deleting time entries, general hours, timers, shifts and shift assignments in a locked month is rejected (TIME_PERIOD_LOCKED).

When OFF

New locks cannot be set (feature disabled); payroll does not require a locked month. Periods ALREADY locked still block time writes; reopening a period always works.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Time Tracking (time entries, general hours, timers, shifts, roster, swaps, open shifts), Projects/Tasks (time logging), Payroll (run prerequisites).

Caveats

Default OFF for every company. There is no screen to lock/reopen periods yet — only the API POST /time-tracking/periods (attendance:manage); turning the toggle on without a way to lock blocks payroll runs. To edit hours in a locked month, reopen the period first.

No-show grace (minutes)

Minutes after shift start before a missing check-in counts as a no-show. 0 = mark absent right at shift start.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.wfm_no_show_grace_minutes60/time-tracking/settingsAuto no-show (people.wfm_auto_no_show)

How it works

Minutes after shift start before a missing check-in counts as a no-show.

Conditions for it to take effect

Requires Auto-mark no-shows.

When ON

Value 0–1440; 0 = mark absent as soon as the shift start passes.

When OFF

Empty or non-numeric falls back to 60 minutes.

Screens, documents and reports affected

The auto no-show job.

Caveats

Default 60. A new value applies to the next sweep only; shifts already marked are not re-evaluated.

OKR/KPI Sync

When an employee completes an LMS course linked to one of their key results, the key result progress updates automatically (share of linked courses completed).

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.okr_kpi_syncOff/performance/settings—

How it works

When an employee completes an LMS course linked to their key result, the key result’s progress updates to the share of linked courses completed.

When ON

Each course completion recalculates the linked key results.

When OFF

Course completion does not change key result progress.

Screens, documents and reports affected

OKR → key results linked to courses, LMS.

Caveats

Default OFF for existing companies; newly created companies get it ON. Turning it off does not roll back progress already updated.

Open shifts

Publish unfilled shifts so qualified employees can claim them from the mobile app.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.wfm_open_shiftsOff/time-tracking/settingsRoster publishing (people.wfm_roster_publish)

How it works

Posts unfilled shifts so eligible employees can claim them on mobile; managers can also call in people from the labor pool.

Conditions for it to take effect

Requires Roster publishing.

When ON

Open shifts can be posted, listed and claimed; non-employee pool members can be called in (posted as an open shift).

When OFF

Posting, listing, claiming open shifts and calling in non-employees are rejected (feature disabled). Calling in employees from the labor pool still works.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Time Tracking → Open shifts, employee mobile (claim), Labor pool (calling in non-employees).

Caveats

Default OFF for every company. Shifts already claimed keep their assignee.

OT variance threshold (minutes)

If |clocked OT − logged OT| exceeds this, the day is flagged for review. Only used when daily log reconcile is on.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.attendance_variance_threshold_minutes30/time-tracking/settingsReconcile with Tasks daily log (people.attendance_daily_log_reconcile)

How it works

Number of minutes: if |clocked OT − logged OT| exceeds it, the day is flagged.

Conditions for it to take effect

Reconcile with Tasks daily log must be on; otherwise the value is ignored.

When ON

Used each time a day is recomputed. Empty or invalid = 30 minutes (the default).

When OFF

Not used while reconcile is off.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Day review flags.

Caveats

Only days recomputed after the change use the new value.

Example

Threshold 30, clocked OT 2h, logged OT 1h20 ⇒ variance 40 min > 30 ⇒ flagged.

Overtime → time off conversion

How overtime becomes compensatory days: OT hours ÷ standard hours per day, optionally multiplied by the OT rate.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.toil_conversionhours_1to1/time-tracking/settingsCompensatory time off (people.compensatory_time_off)

How it works

How approved OT becomes compensatory DAYS: days = OT hours ÷ standard hours per day (payroll config, default 8), times the OT rate when “apply OT rate” is chosen. Rounded to 2 decimals.

Conditions for it to take effect

Compensatory time off must be on.

When ON

Hours 1:1 (default): rate ignored. Apply OT rate: multiplied by the OT record’s rate (1.5 if missing); day review uses the company’s OT rule for the day type, falling back to the standard rate.

When OFF

Not a switch.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Size of compensatory lots.

Caveats

Not retroactive. If a day is re-reviewed with different minutes, an existing lot keeps its old size.

Example

4h OT at 200%, 8h/day: 1:1 ⇒ 0.5 day; apply OT rate ⇒ 1 day.

Performance sync

When an engagement is completed, write its outcome as a note on the matching goal of the coachee development plan (IDP).

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.coaching_performance_syncOff/coaching/settings—

How it works

When an engagement completes, writes the outcome as a note on the matching goal in the coachee’s IDP.

When ON

Completing an engagement adds an outcome note to the matching IDP goal.

When OFF

No note is written. The linked IDP action is still closed on completion.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Coaching → engagement completion, Performance → IDP.

Caveats

Default OFF for existing companies; newly created companies get it ON.

Reconcile with Tasks daily log

Compare clocked OT (after shift end) with the OT the employee logged in Tasks → Daily log. A variance above the threshold flags the day “needs review” and notifies the manager.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.attendance_daily_log_reconcileOff/time-tracking/settingsAttendance day review (people.attendance_review_required)

How it works

Compares OT measured from punches (after shift end) with OT the employee logged in Tasks → Daily log, when the day is recomputed and in a nightly job.

Conditions for it to take effect

Attendance day review must be on; without it no variance flags are written and the nightly job skips the company.

When ON

A variance above the threshold flags the day (ot_variance) and sends it to “needs review”; hours logged beyond hours worked, or logged with no punch, are flagged too. The nightly reconcile job runs for the company.

When OFF

No variance flags are added; existing flags disappear the next time the day is recomputed. The nightly job skips the company.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Day review queue and flags, manager notifications, Tasks daily log.

Caveats

Default off. The “logged without attendance” list in the review screen is shown regardless of this switch.

Require coachee reflection

An engagement cannot be completed while a session already held has no coachee reflection.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.coaching_require_coachee_reflectionOff/coaching/settings—

How it works

An engagement cannot be completed while any held session has no coachee reflection.

When ON

Completion is rejected if any completed or past-dated session lacks a reflection.

When OFF

No check.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Coaching → engagements, coachee portal.

Caveats

Default OFF for every company.

Require enrollment approval

Every new enrollment (self, by L&D, by rules, paths, cohorts, development plans) waits for approval by someone who manages enrollments or the approval workflow.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.lms_require_enrollment_approvalOn/lms/settings—

How it works

Every new enrollment starts pending approval: self-enrollment, training-team enrollment, compliance rules, paths, cohorts, skills matrix, IDP and coaching. Self-enrollments are also sent to the approval workflow.

When ON

New enrollments stay pending until an enrollment manager approves or the workflow completes.

When OFF

New enrollments go straight to enrolled.

Screens, documents and reports affected

LMS → Enrollments (pending tab), Learners, Cohorts, Overview; enrollment paths from HR, Performance, Coaching.

Caveats

Default ON. An approved external registration is enrolled directly (the registration review counts as approval). Turning it off does not release pending enrollments — they must still be approved or rejected.

Require intake assessment

A paused engagement cannot be re-activated until an intake score is recorded. New engagements start active, so starting one is not blocked.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.coaching_require_intake_assessmentOff/coaching/settings—

How it works

An engagement can move to active only once it has an intake score.

When ON

(Re)activating an engagement without an intake score is rejected.

When OFF

No check.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Coaching → engagements.

Caveats

Default OFF for every company. New engagements already start active and are not blocked — the gate mainly stops reactivating paused engagements. Best paired with LMS integration to pull scores from tests.

Require outcome assessment

An engagement cannot be completed until an outcome score is recorded.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first

Caveats

Default OFF for every company.

Require passing quiz to complete

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.lms_quiz_pass_requiredOff/lms/settings—

How it works

A lesson with questions cannot be completed below the course pass score (default 70), and a course with a published final test completes only when the test is passed.

When ON

Lessons/courses below the pass score do not count as complete.

When OFF

Lesson completion ignores the score.

Screens, documents and reports affected

LMS → lesson progress, course completion.

Caveats

Default OFF for every company. Courses that raise a competency always require a pass, regardless of this toggle.

Require photo on mobile check-in

A mobile check-in without a selfie is rejected. Photos are kept for the “attendance photo retention days” setting.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.attendance_check_in_photo_requiredOff/time-tracking/settings—

How it works

A mobile check-in must carry a selfie; the app prompts for it.

When ON

A mobile check-in without a photo is refused, online and in offline sync.

When OFF

The photo is optional.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Workforce mobile app check-in, attendance day detail.

Caveats

Default off (on if the old “photo required” switch was on). Applies to mobile sessions (by login platform), including a manager punching for themselves from mobile; web, device and entries for others never need a photo. Photos are deleted after the photo retention days.

Require photo on mobile check-out

A mobile check-out without a selfie is rejected. Independent of the check-in photo.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.attendance_check_out_photo_requiredOff/time-tracking/settings—

When ON

A mobile check-out without a photo is refused, online and in offline sync.

When OFF

The photo is optional.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Workforce mobile app check-out.

Caveats

Default off (on if the old “photo required” switch was on). Mobile only, as for check-in.

The official manager review updates the employee’s assessed competency levels and skill history — on submit, or on finalize when multi-reviewer 360 is on.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.review_competency_syncOff/performance/settings—

How it works

A manager’s official review updates the employee’s competency levels and skill history.

When ON

With multi-reviewer 360 off: updated as soon as the manager submits. With multi-reviewer 360 on: updated at finalisation, with a done/failed/skipped status recorded.

When OFF

Reviews do not write to the competency profile.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Performance → reviews, HR → Skills matrix / employee competencies, succession, IDP.

Caveats

Default OFF for existing companies; newly created companies get it ON. On the submit-time path, sync errors are only logged — users do not see them.

Roster publishing

Rosters move through draft → published → locked; published rosters notify employees and only change through a controlled path.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.wfm_roster_publishOff/time-tracking/settings—

How it works

Takes weekly rosters through draft → published → locked. A published week can no longer be restructured; a locked week cannot change at all.

When ON

Week status can be set. A published week blocks assigning, copying, generating and removing shifts — only operational actions remain (swap, open shift, claim, call-in, confirm). A locked week blocks those too.

When OFF

Setting/reading week status is rejected (feature disabled). Published weeks no longer block anything; LOCKED weeks stay locked — shifts cannot be assigned, edited or removed.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Time Tracking → roster (publish/lock week), manager mobile (team roster). Prerequisite of Shift swap and Open shifts.

Caveats

Default OFF for every company. Turning it off does not unlock locked weeks (usually already closed for time/payroll); to edit such a week, turn it back on and unlock it. Turn off Shift swap and Open shifts first.

Salary changes need approval

Base salary changes go through a request approved by a second person instead of a direct edit.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.salary_change_approval_requiredOn/payroll/settings—

How it works

Base salary changes go through a salary change request approved by a second person.

When ON

Direct salary edit is refused (SALARY_CHANGE_REQUIRES_APPROVAL). Promotions/transfers and signed salary annexes create a request that waits for approval. The payroll gate “pending salary change” blocks runs (with the master switch).

When OFF

Salary can be edited directly; requests from promotions and annexes are approved automatically.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Employee salary settings, promotion/transfer, contract annexes, payroll readiness.

Caveats

Default on for every tenant; if the switch cannot be read it is treated as on. Opening salary at hire and imports of opening values are not gated. While on, these are refused when they change someone’s pay: editing the mid salary or active status of a grade held by employees (including deleting it), and changing or deleting a competency pay level that employees are in (when competency pay is on). Turning it off leaves pending requests pending.

Seasonal & casual workers

Allow employment types seasonal / casual and a pay basis (monthly, daily, hourly, per shift) on contracts.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.wfm_employment_typesOff/time-tracking/settings—

How it works

Unlocks seasonal/casual employment types on employee records and employment contracts, with a pay basis (monthly, daily, hourly, per shift), rate and weekly hour cap. Payroll can read the per-shift rate variable.

When ON

Seasonal/casual types and pay-basis fields can be set on the employee form, employment contracts and contract import. Payroll formulas can use per_shift_rate.

When OFF

Saving an employee or contract with a seasonal/casual type or pay-basis fields is rejected (feature disabled), including via import. Payroll no longer reads per_shift_rate.

Screens, documents and reports affected

HR → Employees (create/edit), Employment contracts, contract import, Payroll (formula variables). Prerequisite of Labor pool and Agency labor billing.

Caveats

Default OFF for every company. Turning it off deletes nothing: employees already seasonal keep that type, but editing them is rejected until the type is changed. Turn off Labor pool and Agency labor billing first.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.wfm_income_poolsOff/time-tracking/settingsShift-derived premiums (people.wfm_shift_premiums)

How it works

Pools service charge/tips per period and splits them by points and hours actually worked; payroll reads service_charge_amount.

Conditions for it to take effect

Requires Shift premiums from actual shifts.

When ON

Pools can be created/edited and shares viewed; payroll formulas can use service_charge_amount.

When OFF

Listing, creating and editing pools are rejected (feature disabled); payroll does not read service_charge_amount. Closing an open pool still works.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Shift swap requests

Employees request to swap shifts with a colleague; supervisors approve through the workflow inbox.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.wfm_shift_swapOff/time-tracking/settingsRoster publishing (people.wfm_roster_publish)

How it works

Employees request to swap a shift with a colleague; a manager approves directly or through an approval workflow. Approval reassigns the shift.

Conditions for it to take effect

Requires Roster publishing.

When ON

Swap requests can be listed, submitted and approved on web and mobile; the swap report appears.

When OFF

Listing, submitting new requests and direct approval are rejected (feature disabled). Cancelling and rejecting existing requests still work.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Time Tracking → Shift swaps, employee and manager mobile, Approval inbox, WFM reports.

Caveats

Default OFF for every company. Requests already in an approval workflow keep running: approving them in the inbox after turning it off still reassigns the shift.

Shift-derived premiums

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.wfm_shift_premiumsOff/time-tracking/settings—

How it works

Derives premiums from shifts actually worked (night, split, per-shift rate) instead of manual entry. Payroll reads night-shift count, shifts worked, shift-rate amount and split-shift count.

When ON

Shifts store a per-shift rate; payroll formulas can use night_shift_count, shifts_worked, shift_rate_amount, split_shift_count.

When OFF

Payroll does not read those variables; a per-shift rate sent when creating/editing a shift is silently ignored.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Payroll (formula variables), roster. Prerequisite of Service charge & tip pools.

Caveats

Default OFF for every company. Turning it off mid-period means later payroll runs carry no shift premiums. Turn off Service charge & tip pools first.

Tasks sync

Action items agreed in sessions also create tasks in the Tasks app.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.coaching_tasks_syncOff/coaching/settings—

When ON

Creating/editing action items syncs to Tasks.

When OFF

Screens, documents and reports affected

Coaching → sessions (action items), Tasks.

Caveats

Default OFF for every company.

Time tracking sync

When ON

Creating a session with a duration creates a time entry for a coach who has a user account.

When OFF

No hours logged.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Coaching → session creation, Time Tracking.

Caveats

Default OFF for existing companies; newly created companies get it ON. Applies at session creation only; later duration edits do not change the entry. Logging errors are only logged; the session is still created.

Work sites

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.wfm_sitesOff/time-tracking/settings—

How it works

Manages work sites (outlets, branches, hotels), assigns employees to one or more sites, and records site/department/shift kind on shifts.

When ON

The sites page and the Sites section on the employee record appear; sites can be created/edited and employees assigned. Shifts store site, department and shift kind.

When OFF

Viewing, creating and editing sites and assigning employees are rejected (feature disabled). When creating/editing a shift, site, department and shift kind are silently IGNORED.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Time Tracking → Crews & patterns (sites), roster, HR → employee record (Work sites).

Caveats

Default OFF for every company. Existing shifts keep their saved site. Editing a shift cannot clear a saved site (an empty value keeps the old one).

Write coaching results to competencies

Update the employee competency profile when a coaching engagement closes.

CodeDefaultSwitch atTurn on first
people.coaching_competency_writebackOff/settings/others-configuration—

How it works

When ON

Completion/certificate issue writes competency levels using the Coaching score scale.

When OFF

No competency write.

Screens, documents and reports affected

Coaching, HR → employee competencies, IDP.

Caveats

Default OFF for existing companies; newly created companies get it ON. Scores outside the scale are skipped (logged). Errors during certificate issue do not block issuing.
