Situation

A Deal is open and the customer needs a quote.

Recommendation

Create a New Quotation linked to the Deal (dealId).

Why

A Quotation linked to the Deal keeps the Deal→Quotation→Sales Order chain, so the Deal is closed won correctly when the Sales Order is confirmed.

Steps

1. Open the Deal.
2. Choose New Quotation (the form links the Deal).
3. Add lines and send to the customer.

Avoid

• Wait for a Quotation to be created during Lead convert.

Roles & permissions

Sales user with permission to create Quotations.
