Scenario	Short answer
Voiding a GRN that is already billed	Void the Bill (or reverse consumption) first, then reverse the GRN.
Technician short of parts on the van	Raise a material requisition from the Field Service Job.
Closing a POS shift	Close the shift — the system posts a counter JE; walk-in customers get no AR Invoice.
Stock on the technician’s van	Set the van up as a warehouse; transfer stock to it, and cost is recorded only when issued to a job.
Taking materials for a job in batches	Create material requisitions per batch, optionally from the job’s planned materials.
Returning unused materials	Return the surplus to stock via the requisition’s return-surplus action.
